Real-time control
Edit your hours, contact info, photos, and description from the partner portal. Changes go live publicly in about 30 minutes — no agency, no help desk ticket, no waiting on anyone.
Same-day status banners
"Closed today," "opening late," "special hours through Friday" — flag it in the portal and a banner appears on your listing within a minute. Auto-clears at the time you pick so you don't have to come back and turn it off.
AI surface
Visitors who ask our trip planner or chat for "where to eat tonight" or "what's good for kids" see partner listings first. The AI is told to favor partners when ranking is a judgment call.
Coming soon: Facebook auto-sync
Post on your Facebook page that you're closed today — we detect it within minutes and surface the banner on your Homer Pulse listing automatically. No double-posting, no forgetting. Pending Meta approval.

◆ Silver Partner
$200/year
or $20/month · $100 founding
⭐ Gold Partner
$400/year
or $40/month · $200 founding
Community nonprofits and civic organizations are comped at Silver — just email and ask. All annual plans renew yearly; cancel anytime by email and you'll keep the tier through the end of your prepaid period.
Founding partner cohort
50% off your first year, permanent ⚓ Founder badge.
The first 30 businesses to sign up Silver or Gold before September 30, 2026 lock in half-price for year one ($100 Silver / $200 Gold) and get a permanent ⚓ Founder badge on their listing — visible to every visitor, never expires. It's our way of saying thanks for backing Homer Pulse before we had anything to prove.
For charters, lodging, and other bookable businesses: opt into the affiliate program and we'll route visitor traffic through a tracked booking link. You pay nothing up front — instead, once the commission you generate for Homer Pulse crosses certain thresholds, you automatically qualify for Silver or Gold without paying a subscription.
◆ Earn Silver
$250+ commission
Once bookings driven through your Homer Pulse listing generate $250 in commission to us over a trailing 12 months, you auto-upgrade to Silver. Locked in for 12 months even if commissions dip.
⭐ Earn Gold
$500+ commission
Cross $500 in commission to us over trailing 12 months and you auto-upgrade to Gold — same 12-month lock-in. No invoice, no signup form, the tier just appears on your listing.
Commission rates depend on the affiliate platform (typically 4–10% of booking value). The program is opt-in only — you choose whether to route through us, and you can disable tracking at any time. Email [email protected] to enroll or ask about it.
Fair question. The honest answer: don't pick one or the other. Use them all — they each do something different well. Here's where we fit.
vs. Google Business Profile
GBP is built for general search — "restaurants near me," "florist Homer Alaska." It's table-stakes; you should absolutely have one. We're built for trip-planning intent — a visitor planning their week in Homer asks our planner "best dinner spot with a view for Tuesday at 7pm" and we answer with your listing, your hours that night, and whether you're currently open. GBP doesn't do that.
vs. Yelp
Yelp's model is reviews-plus-ads — the businesses with the most ad spend rank highest, and unhappy reviews follow you for years. Our model is accurate hours plus real-time status. We don't host reviews (they're a side conversation at best, a liability at worst). What we surface is "are they open right now, is the wait reasonable, are they having a slow night with a deal."
vs. Facebook
Facebook only works if you keep posting — algorithmic reach decays the moment you stop, and most of your "followers" never see your posts anyway. Homer Pulse surfaces you to discovery intent without you doing anything. Once the Facebook integration ships, your FB posts about being closed today will even auto-trigger the banner on your Homer Pulse card — so you get reach from both platforms with one post.
Whether you're going free or paid, the first step is the same: claim your listing.
Claim your listing
Takes about 2 minutes — find your business, tell us who you are at the business, and submit. Free, no card.
We verify ownership
Usually 1–2 business days. We'll reach out by phone or email to confirm you're with the business — the lightweight kind of check that keeps spammers from claiming Two Sisters.
Pick a tier — or don't
Once verified, you have full edit control. Stay free indefinitely, or email [email protected] to upgrade to Silver or Gold. We'll send a one-time Stripe link — no contracts, no auto-charge surprises.

Gold partners
Silver partners
Yes. Email us and we'll cancel renewal — you keep the tier through the end of your prepaid period, then the listing reverts to the free Claimed tier (you don't lose access to your listing, just the paid features). No fee, no cancellation forms, no win-back calls.
The partner portal is designed for non-developers — it's basically forms with save buttons. Hours editor is a grid with checkboxes. Photo upload is drag-and-drop. If something's confusing, email and we'll walk you through it or do it for you while you're on the phone.
We comp nonprofits and civic organizations at Silver. Just email and ask. The intent is to make sure HoWL, Kachemak Heritage Land Trust, the library, etc. get the same visibility as anyone paying for it.
Pricing reverts to full ($200 Silver / $400 Gold) and the ⚓ Founder badge stops being available — existing founders keep their badge forever, but no new ones get awarded. Founding pricing is locked in for year one only; year two renews at full price.
No. The affiliate program is opt-in and only applies to bookings routed through a tracked link. If a visitor finds you on Homer Pulse and then calls or walks in directly, we don't see it and don't take anything. Your subscription covers everything else.
Claiming your listing takes about 2 minutes and is free forever. If you want to chat first, email [email protected] — we answer personally, usually within a day.
